The campaign toward Los Angeles 2028 is officially on—and I couldn’t be more fired up.

After a yearlong search for a teammate, I’m incredibly excited to welcome Bay Area native Hoel Menard as my new partner in this campaign.

Hoel has deep roots at Richmond Yacht Club and St. Francis Yacht Club and he brings a powerful combination of curiosity and ambition to this new Olympic partnership. As I have gotten to know him it has been easy to see that Hoel approaches performance with an intellectual, learning-driven mindset—constantly adapting and refining technique as he goes. I have found this impressive and exciting. While new to Olympic foiling catamaran racing, Hoel is uniquely qualified to excel in the Nacra 17 thanks to his background in high-performance classes including the WASZP and Nacra 15. Paired with strong athleticism, calm decision-making, and a teamwork-oriented approach, his skill set translates naturally to the physical and technical demands of elite foiling competition.

As many of you know, six months ago, my husband Emmett and I welcomed our second child, Rocky into the world. His big brother Iren is already thrilled to show him the ropes of growing up as an “Olympic kid.” For me, becoming a parent—again has only sharpened my purpose, gratitude, and drive.

Along with RYC and StFYC, we will head toward this Olympic Games proudly representing my home club in Miami, Coral Reef Yacht Club. As you know, LA 2028 will be a “home” Games, and that makes this campaign especially meaningful to us. It’s a chance to represent our clubs, the individuals and families who have supported us, the groups and companies who believe in us, and the American people—on home waters, at the highest level.

Hoel and I would like to formally welcome you to join us on this journey. Stick around as a member of our newsletter to receive the latest updates and information on our progress.

And if you’d like to become a champion of our new campaign, we would be deeply grateful to have you alongside us as we build toward LA 2028. More information below on that.

Let’s go USA!
